Today (12/13) we are looking at excerpts from the first two state constitutions that the territorial government sent to the US congress as part of their application for statehood. The Topeka Constitution and the Lecompton Constitution were both rejected, delaying Kansas's admission to the union. Questions in the attached document will be due on Friday.
